Obituary of Ila Muriel Mitchell

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Liberty Ward Chapel, 1259 French Ave, Gridley, California for Ila Muriel Mitchell, 97, of Gridley. She passed away at home on September 23, 2016. She was born July 16, 1919 to Claude and Elva Corbly in Hebron, Nebraska. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and teacher to many. Ila said she lived her dream by loving and enjoying her family. Ila was preceded in death by her husband, Merwin Mitchell, son, Merwin C. Mitchell and daughter, Susan Mitchell. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Eddie) Widener of Live Oak, CA, Nancy (Carl) Rizor of Live Oak, CA and daughter-in-law, Denise Hopkins Mitchell. She is the loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her family would like to thank employees of River Valley Care Center, Live Oak, CA, for the loving service she received while in their care.
