Obituary of Albert William Walthall

His Legacy… Albert William Walthall was born on August 9, 1922 in Red River, Texas to Prince and Viola Walthall. Albert passed away on April 12, 2018 in Oroville, California. He worked as a cement mason for over 35 years. Albert and his wife Hattie owned and operated the, “Fluff and Fold” a local laundromat for 11 years.

 

His Family… Albert is survived by his wife of 31 years Hattie Walthall, 4 sons, Albert (Vera) Walthall of Vacaville, CA; Hershell (Eloise) Walthall of Sacramento, CA; Ray Walthall of Richmond, CA; and Douglas (Marianne) O’Bryant of Quincy, CA; 2 daughters, Barbara (Matt) Walthall-Ford of Fairfield, CA; and Virginia (Howard) Taylor of Clarksville, TX; 3 step-sons Melvin McCray of Dallas, TX; Roger Henderson of Richmond, CA; and Walter McCray of Coushatta, LA; 3 step-daughters, Shirley Robinson of Richmond, CA; Barbara Banks of Anchorage, AK and Mykeia Walthall of Oroville, CA. He is also survived by numerous grand and great grandchildren. Albert is preceded in death by 2 daughters, Sharon Walthall and Evelyn Medler.

 

His Farewell Service… There will be a Going Home Celebration for Albert on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street, Oroville, California with Graveside Committal to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd Oroville, California. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
