Obituary of Noel Ricardo Gomez

Noel Ricardo Daniel Gomez, 27, of Gridley, passed away on March 16, 2018.

He was the husband of Lupe Gomez, they shared ten years together. Noel was born at Oroville Hospital on December 26, 1990. He was the son of Marcos Castaneda Tinoco, and Veronica Elaine Castaneda. He graduated from Biggs High School, then served in the United States Army. Noel Enjoyed playing basketball, taking his son JR to the park on his free time. He will be remembered for his friendly and caring personality. Noel always had a smile on his face and greeted anyone with a hello and how are you today?

Noel is survived by Lupe Gomez, son JR Gomez, age five; Siblings: Andrew Gomez, Salvador Gomez, Marielena Castaneda, and Juan Castaneda, grandmother, Dolores Rios, aunts, Shelly and Miriam Cardenas; and uncle, Steven Vermillion. Noel also had numerous cousins and two nieces: Azaela Macedo and Grace Gomez.

We know he was loved by many friends and his community.

Funeral services for Noel will be held on April, 2, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Gridley. Rosary will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Mass starting at 1 p.m. A reception will be held after the Mass in the hall across the street from the church.

We love you so much, you will be missed. May you rest in peace.
