Obituary of Theron Paul Hastain

Theron Paul Hastain, 59, of Oroville went to be with Jesus on January 12, 2018. He was born on October 25, 1958 in Santa Cruz.  Paul was educated in California public schools, and went on to join the Navy in September 1978. In 1986 Paul found Angela, the love of his life and best friend. They spent the next 32 years raising their three children and loving each other.

Paul was employed by The Salvation Army rehabilitation facility for men and women.  He spent his time there encouraging and ministering to the lost or broken. He spent many years helping people see themselves how God sees them; he wanted them to know they mattered and were valuable.  He never gave up on anyone because God never gave up on him.  Paul had a passion for music. He had the most beautiful singing voice and he used to worship God and praise him any chance he got; he was also a very talented poet.  In his quiet time, Paul loved to go camping in the mountains; this is where he was a professional snipe hunter, and a paintball gun warrior. This is also where he felt a strong connection with Jesus.

Paul loved his family fiercely and was so proud of all of them.  He is survived by his wife Angela; his son Jared Hastain of Forest Ranch, his daughter Amber Hastain of Boise, ID, his daughter Breann Workman of Oroville, and his daughter Aubrey Rhodes of Hercules; He is also survived by his mother, Monteene Haddock of Hamilton, MT, his sister Karen Crise of Bangor, ME, his brother Tom Hastain of Oroville, his brother Nick Hastain of Wilbraham, MA, He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his father Edward Hastain.
